What you get
A risk-ranked findings report
Every finding marked critical, high, or medium. For each one: what the exposure is, what fixing it involves, and roughly how much effort it takes. Written so you can hand it to your board or your attorney without translating it.
A prioritized action plan
What to fix this month, this quarter, and this year. Sequenced so you're not doing work twice, and so the things that could actually hurt you come first.
A findings walkthrough
A live 60-minute session where I take you through it, answer questions, and tell you honestly which items I'd worry about and which I'd leave alone for now.
Timeline and price
| Your situation | Timeline | Price |
|---|---|---|
| One or two states, up to 100 employees | 2–3 weeks | $2,000–3,200 |
| One or two states, 100–350 employees | 3–4 weeks | $3,200–6,000 |
| Multi-state, or heavy remediation needed | 4–6 weeks | $6,000–12,000 |
| 350–1,000 employees, multi-state | 6–10 weeks | $12,000–28,000 |
If you move forward with a retainer, the audit fee comes off the first invoice at 50%. I'd rather you spend the money fixing what I find than paying me twice to look at it.
Questions people ask
How much of my time does this take?
Roughly three to five hours total. A 60-minute kickoff, a document request you fill at your own pace, one or two follow-up conversations, and the findings walkthrough. I don't need to interview your staff unless you want me to.
Will you find things that scare me?
Probably. Almost every employer I review has at least one finding I'd call critical — that's as true at 700 employees as at 40, because bigger companies have more surface area, not better hygiene. That's the point — you can't fix what you can't see, and finding it during a paid review is dramatically cheaper than finding it during a claim.
Do you report anything to the government?
No. I work for you. The findings are yours, they're confidential, and what you do about them is your decision.
Is this legal advice?
No. I'm an HR consultant, not an attorney. I'll tell you where the risk is and, when something genuinely needs a lawyer, I'll say so and tell you what to ask them. That's usually a much shorter and cheaper conversation with counsel than starting from scratch.
What if I already know I have problems?
Then we can skip straight to fixing them. Tell me what you know on the call and I'll quote the remediation directly instead of charging you to confirm what you already told me.
Not sure where you stand?
A free 30-minute risk review. You describe what's going on, I name the two or three things I'd fix first. No pitch deck, no obligation.
